monthly plan which costs  #25 and N60 Naira respectively..

To subscribe for the MTN Whatsapp weekly plan,

• Make sure you have at least N30 credit on your line
• Dial *662*3*1# or Simply text WAW  to 131 or click the DIRRCT SMS LINK and you will receive a welcome message for the bundle. It valid for 7 days.

The Code for the MTN Monthly Whatsapp Plan

To subscribe for the MTN Whatsapp monthly plan,

• Make sure you have at least N70 credit on your mtn line
• Then dial *663*3*2# or Sms WAM to  131 and it valid for 30 days or click the DIRECT SMS. 

To check your bundle plan expiry date

Simply dial *559*25# and if you want to opt out or unsubscribe from the plan at any time, simply text NO WAW to 131 (for weekly) or using DIRECT SMS and NO WAM to 131 (for monthly)- DIRECT SMS or better still dial *662*3*3# Direct Tel to unsubscribe from both monthly and weekly at once.

Etisalat Whatsapp Plan Subscriptions And How To 

I hope you remember the etisalat chat pack that rocked last year, well it's still working but no longer unlimited but it's okay for whatsapp. With chatpak, you can access whatsapp, Facebook messenger, WeChat and 2go. To Subscribe for weekly chatpak, just dial *343*5*6# DIRECT TEL and it costs N150 But to subscribe for the daily plan, dial *343*5*5# DIRECT TEL and it costs N50 daily.

Airtel Whatsapp Plan Subscriptions And How To 

I have already made an ARTICLE on this airtel whatsapp data bundle where I said Airtel is also another network that offers affordable whatsapp bundle for their subscribers. Unfortunately, Glo and Ntel doesn't have any whatsapp plan at the moment (i might be wrong though). Even on their website, there is nothing like that yet but i will keep you guys updated as soon as it's launched.

Whatsapp Will No Longer Work On These Phones : How To Know And Avoid Being A Victim

WhatsApp, one of the best social meida and instant messaging application, made an announcement as they celebrated their 7th anniversary that will affect a number of Zimbabweans if the current situation is considered.

The most popular social media , to
some the only internet they know, will discontinue support of the app on certain types of phones, and if you use that phone then you will no longer be able to keep in touch with your friends through WhatsApp.

As of the end of 2016, the following phone models will no longer be supported:

• BlackBerry, including BlackBerry 10
• Nokia S40
• Nokia Symbian S60
• Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
• Windows Phone 7.1

That means that if you have the following types of phones you have 3 months to get rid of it so as to keep using WhatsApp:

All types of Blackberry’s, including the Bold, Curve, Pearl and Touch. The full list of Blackberry devices can be found here, but basically if it says Blackberry  it won’t work.

LOT OF NOKIA’S THAT RUN ON OLD NOKIA S40 SOFTWARE  WON'T BE ELIGIBLE FOR WHATSAPP AGAIN.

A bunch of Android phones; mostly the old and slow ones. To check what version of Android you have, go to Settings > System >  About Phone > Android Version, and your android version will be shown to you.

If it reads 2.1 or 2.2 then plan for an  upgrade by December 2016. It looks like this type of phone is so old that there is nothing on the internet that really speaks about it.

But if you have a ‘Lumia Mango’ or when dialing *#0000# on your Nokia phone and it has Windows 7.1 written there, be advised accordingly.

So there you have it folks, these are the types of phones that will no longer be able to access
WhatsApp at the end of the year.

HOW TO KNOW IF YOUR DEVICE WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR WHATSAPP OR NOT. 

To know if  above devices are not going to be for whatsapp or not, and you are using one of above devices, kindly change the date to 2020 then launch your whatsapp and see what will happen.

REASON WHY  WHATSAPP WILL NO LONGER WORK ON LISTED PHONES ABOVE BY 2017

The reason why whatsapp won't work on above devices is that there is a new feature that will embedded with a new updated whatsapp. Which has being proved by whatsapp official that the features are not going to be working on java and black berry and if possible, Android wiith low version ( Version 2 )

New Whatsapp Feature - You Now Tag Friend(s) When You Chat In Group

Wow what a great new whatsapp features. Asimov in this feature is incredible. Incredible in the sense that you can now tag friends on whatsapp (which is the new whatsapp chat feature). This new whatsapp feature make me remember the old whatsapp features where you can quote whatsapp messages in both group(s) and private chats.

This new whatsapp features is the same and applicable to the facebook features. That is, the same; where you can also Tag friends.

This new whatsapp feature is for only android device. It is not yet on PC but I think whatsapp officials will bring the PC too up to date.

1. You can only tag on group chat. Private chats are not allowed.
2. This new feature of whatsapp It is not currently on PC for now. But I think it will be updated soon. But on Android and IOS

1. In order to use this new whatsapp feature,  first and foremost you must Update Your whatsapp to the Latest one. So update your whatsapp HERE for Android and HERE for IOS

How to tag users in a whatsapp group chat

After Updating Your Whatsapp, launch it and click on a group chat.

Then Pop Your keyboard and get set to chat and tag

Then To tag simply enter a group chat

And type "@" symbol without the quote like below snapshot.

Then choose participants from the contacts that will pop out or you can tag multiple contacts in a single message.

Note: It also works with both Saved contacts And Unsaved Contacts, but Make sure you all are part of the same group chat.


That all this shows whatsapp has really improved and will keep improving till....

But very sad other devices won't enjoy these features because WhatsApp Will No Longer Work On These Phones By 2017

Trending now ,is the announcement from WhatsApp via a blog post that it will start providing targeted ads to users. To achieve this, "WhatsApp will share your phone number with Facebook’s system." and your WhatsApp account might be receiving advertisements from companies.

However, if you live this new this feature, then no qualms. but if you don't like it, no cause to cry out loud as they also created a way to opt-out from it. So follow me along.

If you have already opted in by accepting the new terms and conditions that is now popping up on WhatsApp app, you will apply the second method but if you are yet to see or accept the terms, use the
first method.

HOW TO OPT OUT OF WHATSAPP NEW
FACEBOOK TERMS.

When you launch your updated WhatsApp application, you will see a page that asks you to tap agree on new terms and privacy policy on the screen, just follow below steps:

1. Hit/Tap Read
2. Uncheck Share my WhatsApp account information with Facebook…

Whereas, if you have already agreed to this terms and services ignorantly and wish to opt out, follow this second method

For iOS users only
1. Open your WhatsApp
2. Go to Settings > Account.
3. Uncheck Share my account info.

2. Tap the three dots icon on the top-right.
3. Tap Settings > Account.
4. Uncheck Share my account info.

NOTE: After 30 days, you might not be able to opt out again.

Although Opting out option is just a pardon / consolation, by closely reading their privacy policy, you will see that it
still shares your data and whatsapp it’s not all that private again. So checking that option might not still guarantee 100% safety but your chats and messages are still encrypted i.e end to end.

What is Whatsapp Read Receipt?

Whatsapp Read Receipt is a great feature of whatsapp chat app that help you to know that your message has been sent and and read as well. This read receipt is the one that mark your chat blue. 

This feature is very good to the extent that it was disabled on my whatsapp. And since then, my whatsapp message does not show me read receipt and this disqualified my whatsapp. 

This error occured after I updated my whatsapp to the latest one and since then, my whatsapp don't show me read receipt again, I dont even know maybe my chat as being read by friends. 

Not until today when I decided to view my whatsapp settings and I found something untick. When I found this thing unticked I ticked it and read a short note beneath it saying : 

If you turn off your read receiptso, you witness able to to read receiptso from other people. Read receiptso are always sent for group chats. 

So that was how I found solution to my whatsapp not showing read receipt.

Solution To Whatsapp Message Not Showing Read Receipts.

No long story, launch your whatsapp and go to Settings

Click Account

Click Privacy

Scroll down and Tick Read Receipts. Then go back and chat with a friend on whatsapp.

Whenever your message is read by friends, you will know. That is, your message will be marked as blue.
